The Federal Government has done it, they have shut down.  No more tours of the White House.  No more tickets being sold to the National Zoo.  Thousands of folks told they need not show up to work today.  The world as we know it is beginning to crumble because of this.  Well, not really.  In all likelihood the government will be back up in full force shortly. But why did the shutdown happen?  That depends on who you ask.

Up until about 2 years ago, I identified as being a Republican and always voted the party line.  Did I become a Democrat? No.  Libertarian? Again, no to that too. What changed for me to ditch the Republican Party?  I realized that the ideologies of all political parties are flawed at the core.  No political party is perfect.  No politician is infallible, regardless of what some people may think. There are strengths and weaknesses to all man made government institutions. Throughout the history of mankind, governments have risen out of the dust only to return to the dust hundreds of years later.  The greatest empires recorded in the history books have tumbled.  Which brings us to why I changed my allegiance, because both The Republican Party and the Democratic Parties are not the answer.

What is the answer?  In short, God is, and He never shuts down.

Don’t place your everything into imperfect man-made systems – place your everything into a ruler who never shuts down and knows whats best for you.
